Meet Mike Wagler

I am a visual artist based in Calgary, Ab.
I love creating, and have been doing so for as long as I can remember! l Tattoo full time out of Garuda Tattoo here in Calgary. I started Tattooing in 2012, and I am so grateful to be able to do what I love for a living. In addition to tattooing, I have a passion for creating art pieces to display on the wall! I work mostly in charcoals, acrylic paints and mixed media.

I have always been interested in creating art, and learning through creating with others. I take pride in my skills and ability to turn a blank canvas into something valuable and beautiful that can be enjoyed by others.
What started as a hobby, has evolved into a full-time business. There's nothing I find more fulfilling than knowing that my customers are satisfied with their purchases. I am very grateful to be able to do what I love, and always strive to give my customers a piece that they will love to display in their space. An Eye for Detail
I grew up in Calgary Ab, where I still live with my beautiful wife and our 2 sons. I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. Since I started offering my Art services, I’ve been determined to keep doing what I love: creating pieces for people with meaning and quality. I use high quality materials and am proud to deliver pieces that can last for generations. In addition to my original pieces and prints, I also offer customized services to create one of a kind pieces of art for your home, office, or anywhere you would like to display them. This includes custom Portraits, which can be of loved ones, pets, wildlife, or any range of subjects! I am always open to new ideas and projects and would love to bring something to life for you!

This is a piece that I was so happy to be able to donate to raise funds for the Alberta Children's Hospital. It is charcoal on Arches paper. It was part of an auction that was held during an attempt to break the record for the longest hockey game. I wanted to convey the feeling of Hope and dreams in this one. I took aspects of different reference images that were sent to me and created this one of a kind piece.
I named the players on the bottom to represent traits of the amazing players/volunteers/organizers of the event who are putting in the work to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
The numbers on the Jerseys represent power numbers in numerology.
The hallway at the top of the piece is based on an actual hallway from the Ab childrens hospital.
It is so fulfilling to be able to use my artwork to help with such a great fundraiser.
